You have been asked to make an oral presentation of some kind.Whether it is of a formal or an informal nature, you need to give the activity some thought and preparation if you are to avoid ‘the abysmal quality of many presentations’ (Robson 1993: 422). Presenting your work in this way is not an easy option; indeed, for many, the pressures that are engendered can seem almost overwhelming.
