ABSTRACT
The purpose of using inferential statistical tests is to enable you to estimate the
probability that the result you have obtained has occurred due to chance.
• When you work out a test you obtain the observed value for that test for your data. For example chi-square=3.78, rho=0.456, t= 1.234 and so on.
