ABSTRACT
The legal requirements surrounding Collective Worship in county schools are described in Appendix A. It is the purpose of this chapter to discuss the real situation in schools, where teachers have responsibility for organising a daily Collective Worship session. The focus is on how Collective Worship can be an educational activity, one that is part of the school’s planned curriculum and which makes a positive contribution to the values of the community and the reflections and values of each child.
