ABSTRACT
The leading divergence between the short-term interests of global capitalism and the interests of many people, especially younger people, centres on a significant reduction in average work time-and the equitable sharing of access to work. Unfortunately global capitalism may well have a majority of Canadians on its side (unwilling to reduce their present level of access to full-time, life-long work opportunities).
