ABSTRACT
While the importance of leadership and general management in the primary school is widely recognised, the growing importance of project management at all levels is not always perceived. In community and voluntary (controlled) schools, the delegation of funding by local education authorities to school level has made the management of discrete funded projects a necessary part of the school’s overall management. In foundation and independent schools, project management is similarly important.
