ABSTRACT
Each of these individuals may work in a different department (functional silo) within the bank, and the process may be subject to a number of variations and subroutines, dependent upon circumstances. For this reason, fragmentation of processes has traditionally been the most used approach to process study and design. For an organisation serious about achieving quality, it is vital to move beyond this fragmented approach to something more coherent. Process definition is vital in this regard.
