ABSTRACT
Climate is a key influence on the nature and rates of geomorphological processes and on the potential of the agricultural environment. The extreme variability in time and space of temperature and precipitation are not unique to mountain environments, but the combination of these with the topography presents particular difficulties in sustaining a livelihood.
