ABSTRACT
This book is not intended to be a careers encyclopaedia. Such publications exist and you may find them useful in the process of your search. The focus of this chapter is on methods of generating career ideas using your self-assessment in chapter 3. Various methods are described and we conclude with some practical exercises which you can do on your own, or with someone who knows you well, to start the process of generating ideas.
