ABSTRACT

While writing this book, I was focused on theoretical perspectives on school exclusion-the adverse effects and the compromised rights of the childcitizen to education. Then, the reality of permanently excluding a 6 year old unfolded before me and I was unable to stop it. I was a governor at a local primary school, T, situated on an estate of mainly local authority housing with a roll of around 200 children.
