ABSTRACT

In planning how to meet the objectives of a liaison programme, schools on both sides of the divide must ensure they have the necessary resources. In the main these will centre on identifying the right members of staff and enabling them to have the time to undertake the planning and action that will be needed. While it may be possible to absorb these costs in the normal salary bill of both primary and secondary schools, the latter will probably attract additional costs for the development and reproduction of a school brochure, for mailshots and for special events.
