Determining levels of productivity in the construction industry using data envelopment analysis

Over the years, numerous attempts have been made to determine the main drivers of productivity and efficiency in the construction industry. Most studies that look at the productivity of the construction industry are centred on the industry in the United States, although in more recent years, studies have been undertaken in of other countries as well. In the United Kingdom, for instance, data for a range of performance indicators in the industry is now collected by the national government (BERR 2008).
