ABSTRACT

This chapter and the chapter which follows will attempt to outline a range of approaches to the study of change and its management. Like the preceding chapter this particular chapter will, again, depart from the traditional pattern of exposition. Thus while by tradition students are introduced to change and its management by sub-headings such as: what is change?; radical and incremental change; force-field analysis; resistance to change and so on, Chapters 2 and 3 will attempt a less traditional outline.
