Paradoxes of gender: ethical and epistemological perspectives on care in feminist political theory

For more than fifteen years now, care has been the object of theorizing and research in feminist sociology and political science. Looking back, what strikes me is that the production of knowledge about care and gender has proceeded along different disciplinary tracks. In this chapter I will distinguish two of these ‘tracks’, each with its own particular structure and goals and its own characteristic discussions.
