ABSTRACT
This chapter is divided into two sections, the first examining your teaching experience (TE) and the second your Higher Education (HE) course studies. Some units evidently belong to both, indeed the two components are indivisibly related. It is only the opportunities and resources offered by these respective sites that determine differences: their common concern is pedagogy. The way the two components are sequenced in time varies from course to course, but the HE component is often frontand end-loaded to allow for a sustained period in school. The way these components have been divided in this chapter means it does not run in strict chronological order but looks at different issues and practices.
