ABSTRACT
Through the units in this chapter issues of craft and design and their positions in secondary Art & Design education are discussed. You are encouraged to question traditional definitions, attitudes and values, consider the roles of ‘practical thinking’ and ‘intelligent making’ and explore your understanding of these concepts and their pedagogical application in forming an inclusive curriculum.
