ABSTRACT

55Having looked at the “why” of spatial agency in terms of its motivations, we now turn our attention to the “where”: this chapter discusses the primary sites of spatial agency, the location in which a person’s or group’s work is rooted. Where, in spatial agency, is politics played out? Is it through a physical intervention, the implementation of a network, through informing, making knowledge available in a different way or through the set up of a different organisational structure? Where is professionalism challenged? Is it through working from the inside or is it by inventing new forms of practice away from the institution? What is the site for pedagogy and where does it take place, where does it take effect?
