ABSTRACT
Ethnography has always engaged with photography. Ethnographers, or cultural anthropologists, study human beings through cultural immersion, interviewing, participant-observation, and visual documentation. We study what makes people tick. We compare diverse groups across the globe, explore the influence of culture on human behavior, and explain cultural differences. Photography plays an important role in fulfilling our goals.
