ABSTRACT

JOURNALISM can damage your health. Many in the industry find it extremely stressful. A recent survey of media workers by the London College of Printing School of Media (entitled The News Breed: British Journalism in the 1990s; Anthony Delano and Professor John Henningham; London; 1995) found that 51 per cent considered they experienced high levels of stress in their job while 24 per cent felt the levels were very high.
