ABSTRACT

Forming and functioning together as members of a working team presents special challenges when team members are of differing educational and experiential backgrounds. This university-affiliated child psychiatry occupational therapy team has developed a team

model which blends the roles of Registered Occupational Therapists (therapist) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (assis tant) so that members’ expertise and interests combine to yield so phisticated service delivery. In this paper role delineation will be described in terms of clinical practice, program development, ard supervision.
