ABSTRACT

In beginning this part with primary teaching, it is not our intention that the student of primary education confines himself or herself to the next few pages exclusively. There is much of both a specialist and general nature to be had from a perusal of the remaining sections and it is hoped that he or she will at least read through the sections on equal opportunities and management and control in the classroom. It is also hoped that the primary student will seek out the specialist primary texts referred to for additional guidance.
