ABSTRACT
Charles Churchill used parts of his long satirical poem The Times to express his sense that ‘Go where we will, at ev’ry time and place, SODOM confronts, and stares us in the face’ (1763). Sodomy has been imported from overseas with the result that men now prefer a Ganymede to a woman.
