ABSTRACT

Western cultural commentators appear to be preoccupied with how children are coping with changing family forms. They are worrying about what kind of future generation is being created; whether mothers’ and fathers’ claims to personal rights are undermining their responsibilities as parents; what is happening to men; how the crisis in masculinity is affecting boys; what it means to be a father; whether women can really have it all – motherhood, sexuality and a career; whether women still need men.
