Lags and Logs: Statistical Approaches to Interaction (SPSS version)*

This chapter casts sequential analyses of interaction in log-linear terms. Log-linear analysis is not widely known among investigators who study social interaction but seems remarkably well-suited to their concerns. Several examples of log-linear analyses of interaction are presented, along with the SPSS statements required to effect them, including issues of groups differences, rare events, stationarity and autocorrelation.
