ABSTRACT
Chapter 1 introduced students to the idea of text purpose while Chapter 2 emphasised the logical organisation of texts and different angles de vision. Chapter 3 builds on these notions, focusing on the planning and delivery of short exposés. Exposés are useful as the outcome for independent research. However, while students usually research their chosen topic enthusiastically, they often forget that their exposé should not cover everything but should highlight points which will interest their audience.
