The text In order to clarify the discussion at various points, I have provided in Parts II and III the NRSV text of each psalm under discussion, together with any suggested amendments, and notes about its structure. Amendments are given in the body of the text in square brackets. Where they represent additions to the NRSV the extra text is given without other comment-as in Psalm 2:12 where ‘[rejoice]’ is an addition to the text. Where they are alternatives the new text is introduced by means of oras in Psalm 2:1 where ‘[or bluster]’ represents an alternative to the NRSV’s ‘conspire’.
