ABSTRACT
This chapter must be viewed as no more than fancifully speculative as yet. It is a line of thought worked out over the last few years by the present author and Ian Mordant, a mathematician. We think its argument might bear directly upon psychoanalytic metapsychology. It may thus have value as a framework for practical psychoanalytic workers in the future.
