ABSTRACT

Previous chapters have been oriented toward the various systemic levels given by the ecopsychological approach of our study. Beginning at the individual level, which used multidimensional personality questionnaires and personality rating scales to focus on the “system of the individual,” the next higher level addressed dyadic relations within the families surveyed. Both the marital and partner relations of the representatives of the two generations, as well as intergenerational relations within the families, can be assigned to this level. Extending this level of dyadic relations led to a perspective on the family as a holistic network of relations. The findings on family climate reported in the previous chapter correspond to this step from the relational dyad to the family system.
