ABSTRACT
The work of Gustav Bychowski is an interesting example of the difficulties facing a theoretical exposition of processes relating to introjects in the absence of a theory of mental structures. While Bychowski was deeply interested in the dynamics of introjects and wrote extensively on this subject, his work remained at a descriptive level and did not develop into a fully fledged theory.
