ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION This chapter seeks to highlight some of the main findings of this volume. It notes some features of the analytical approach, presents some comparable data on FDI flows by the countries concerned, and tries to identify common patterns in their engagement in international production. It reflects the interest and specialisation of the present author in development economics and, in particular, in industrialisation and the role of government in promoting industrial development.
