ABSTRACT
This chapter is a contribution to a ‘second edition’ of The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money, which celebrates the sixtieth birthday of the great book. The chapter I have been asked to write might be regarded as a revision of Keynes’s Chapter 18, ‘The General Theory of Employment Restated’, but it is meant to be more inclusive and may appear as a preface or conclusion to a ‘second edition’.
