Biosafety regulations, practices and consequences in Brazil: who wants to hide the problems?

ABSTRACT

After 10 years of the Biosafety Law approval, Brazil registers commercial releases of 77 transgenic events: 49 plants (6 soybeans, 29 maize, 12 cotton, 1 pinto bean, and 1 eucalyptus), 20 vaccines, 6 microorganisms, 1 mosquito and 1 enzyme.
