ABSTRACT

Just as the beginning and middle phases of a course of therapy are appropriately governed by certain basic principles, so, too, is the end phase of the therapeutic process. Very little has been written concerning the termination phase of therapy. For the most part, that which has been written is directed toward the treatment of individuals. Since the thrust of this volume is directed toward treatment of the marital dyad from an integrated perspective, termination must also be explored in the same light.
