ABSTRACT

Paradoxical Treatment by Stephen R. Lankton, MSW, and Carol H. Lankton, MA

summer; day makes way for night; the moon sets and the sun rises; we can get angry and later be more loving; we can decide affirmatively and negatively about the same incident in a matter of years, months, even shorter periods. Each of us recognizes these truths to contain a certain natural reminder, but we often fail to put the wisdom of that knowledge into practical application. Paradoxically, it is true that the moon rises so that we can enjoy sunlight, winter comes so that summer will find us, and so on.
