ABSTRACT

If there is one overriding factor that seems to determine the character of sex therapy, it is the nature of its objectives. Over the last 20 to 30 years, the scope of our cases has changed, the clientele and their problems have become more complex, and our methods have become more sophisticated. Our goals, however, basically remain the same: the elimination of the symptoms of sexual dysfunction, the reversal of desire disorders, and the containment of paraphilic urges and behaviors.
