ABSTRACT
On leaving the hospital, I realized that I was not only leaving it and a long episode behind me, but I was beginning a new chapter of my life, now, I hoped, free of cancer, a bit of a bionic woman, half flesh, half plastic, looking normal and trying to get ready to live an ordinary life.
