ABSTRACT

The rich man heard about this and was overcome with envy. He sent his daughter to the peasant. She found out everything and told her father. The rich man ordered them to put out all the fires in his house. Then he put on a longer kaftan than he usually wore to have room for more coal and he set off. He went out into the road and saw the old man, sitting and tending the fire. The rich man asked, "Give me some coals. All my fires have gone completely out in my house.
