ABSTRACT

Not long ago a certain traveler came to the fair and said, "Don't squabble, little mothers, don't have such evil tongues, and don't summon the devils. I have been tormented these nine months. The devils and imps say to me, 'You are our slave.' They ordered me to remove my cross and whenever I lie down to sleep, they try smothering me, they crawl through the window, bare their teeth and claws, and it's as if the house is on fire, it's crackling so."
