ABSTRACT

Once a mouse made an agreement with a sparrow that they would live in the same burrow and carry their food into that same burrowboth for winter and as a reserve. But that sparrow just started stealing more than before! There was no place anything could be hidden. And he dragged a lot into the mouse's burrow: barley, hemp, and every sort of seed. Nor did the mouse just yawn. Whatever she found, she brought there. An impressive reserve had been put by for that dreary winter time. There was more than sufficient. 'T11live in clover now," thought the sparrow, and he, the sweetie, went right back to his old thieving ways.
