ABSTRACT
This happened not so very long ago, but not so very nearby to us either. There lived this peasant by the name of Falalei. He wasn't especially rich, but he wasn't poor. He wasn't very old, but he wasn't young. He wasn't very smart, but neither was he stupid. But he was so sly that if he saw something, you would have to explain all and tell him all. He wanted to find out whether he would live for a long time on this earth and what would happen to him after death. He asked St. Nicholas the Wonderworker to disclose all this to him and foretell the future for him. Once he had this vision that an old man appeared to him in bright clothing and said to him, "Let us go and I will show you your future life and the place prepared for you." They set off.
