ABSTRACT

P.H.Osmond published an anthology of Anglican devotion, biographies of Isaac Barrow and of John Cosin, bishop of Durham, a book on Paolo Veronese’s art, and The Mystical Poets of the English Church, in which he used Donne as a contrary case, contending over some nine pages that Donne was not a mystical writer at all (The Mystical Poets of the English Church, 1919, pp. 46-54).
