ABSTRACT

Vishalla, a village recreated on the outskirts of Ahmedabad, houses a heritage utensils museum, handicrafts shops, and a restaurant which serves highly nutritious, traditional food, cooked in home style. The guests are entertained in a highly relaxed environment with puppet shows, magic shows, and traditional dances, where a guest could also participate. In short, Vishalla gave a very different experience to the customers and the question now is how to sustain the innovation.
