ABSTRACT
Seva Café, a unique social experiment promoted by Manav Sadhana and Gramshree, civil society organizations working for social and economic upliftment in Gujarat, is a small restaurant on C.G. Road in Ahmedabad, with the objective of bringing together like-minded people to help in catalyzing the process of social change in society. In addition, the promoters also want to generate love and affection among people through the act of giving and serving others. By June 2007, the restaurant achieved financial break-even but the question of sustainability and growth of this unique experiment is still the uppermost concern.
