ABSTRACT
The previous two chapters were concerned with the organisation of a system-wide evaluation programme. The individual components making up such a programme have been described as falling into one of two groups: research-style evaluation; or time-constrained evaluation. The latter is likely to be the more widely used and forms the subject of this chapter and the one to follow.
