ABSTRACT
The purpose of this chapter is twofold: first, to review the major shortcomings of the methodologies used by the existing studies assessing demographic impacts discussed in the previous chapter, and, second, to suggest ways of improving existing methodologies and the future directions which research on demographic impacts might take in order to guide policy decisions.
