ABSTRACT
Liaison between schools and the parents of their pupils is based on a well-founded tradition. The usual methods by which schools and parents liaise include meetings for parents of prospective pupils, parents’ consultative meetings and individual interviews. Many schools have parent-teacher associations (PTAs) and enjoy parental help in the classroom. More recently, governors and schools have worked together to produce an annual report for parents and to meet them in order to discuss the report.
