ABSTRACT

This chapter looks at a form of psychodynamic counselling which is applied in an unusual setting: the client’s own living environment. The counselling described here seeks to apply insights that have by and large originated from work done in the consulting room (the usual setting for psychodynamic counselling) to a setting that is in many respects quite different. The counsellor attempts to bring himor herself, together with the method or technique, into the home of the client.
