ABSTRACT
This Chapter describes the way in which the oculomotor system adapts to a step displacement of one eye's visual field. When visual experience after the displacement was confined to one direction of gaze, the subsequent adaptation was found to be direction specific, occurring maximally in the direction of gaze in which visual experience was gained.
