ABSTRACT
Although it tends to explain, the film is weak and unbalanced from an ideological as well as from a formal point of view. Avoiding drawing any conclusion regarding the necessity to fight imperialism it is no more than a pacifist jumble… Still some aspects of war are depicted in a courageous, realistic way, without sentimentalism and with an efficiency which reminds us of the Russian films.
