ABSTRACT
A letter to Representative Oakar signed by S.Osakatani, assistant general manager in the office of the president of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, explained why the Cleveland area had been rejected.
As you pointed out the Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio region is a leading area for the automotive manufacturing industry. The rule of thumb we have been using in our site selection process is to avoid going right into the heart of any existing heavily automotive industrial region. Candidly, we see little likelihood of our being able to add the Greater Cleveland Northeast Ohio (region) to our list of prospective sites.
