The preceding chapter first presented a synopsis of established development frameworks; then elaborated the book’s framework centered on world economic and political conditions, donor-nation actions, and policies of Third World governments. These positions represent a conceptual transition that is mirrored in studies of aggregate migration flows within Third World nations.
